
Sister Crayon, Aint No Sunshine (Bill Wither’s cover)
I’ve loved this song ever since I heard it sung by a street musician in an underground L stop when I was living in Chicago. Those sad, longing lines echoing through the cement tunnels just about did me in. This cover amplifies that loneliness and makes it a little spooky, which I find strangely appropriate.
